Is pain holding you back?
Do you feel like a prisoner in your own body?
Is it having a major impact on your everyday life?
Perhaps we can work together to find ways to deal with chronic pain! We often hear and read that simply “TALKING” to other people who have similar problems can help. Let's give it a try!
Disease profile
Definition of chronic pain:
Chronic pain is pain that persists over a long period of time and lasts beyond the normal healing time. It can occur either continuously or recurrently and often no longer has a clear trigger.
Goals and tasks
This self-help group is primarily aimed at people who suffer from an independent pain disorder without a clear organic cause. There is a big difference in society between pain that stems from a defined illness and pain that does not. When the causes are unclear, people are quick to pigeonhole it as being psychological. All pain is difficult to bear, but there is not much understanding for pain that cannot be explained. However, anyone over the age of 18 who suffers from pain is welcome to join the group and share their experiences and possibly discuss ways of better coping with pain.
