Goals and tasks

Together, we want to bring interested Lobeda residents to our house in our inviting group rooms. We would like to bring together people who often live alone, who would like to exchange ideas with others from time to time and who have little opportunity to do so, whose children, if they have any, have long since grown up and live their own lives, possibly far away from Jena.
Interesting conversations with each other, sometimes not at Rewe at the checkout or only briefly in the stairwell at a chance meeting, exchange of experiences on many topics from everyday life can be the content of our joint meetings.
From IKOS you receive extensive information about self-help offers in our city - there are active groups of aphasia (loss of speech e.g. after stroke) over Lyme disease, hearing impairments, rheumatism, osteoporosis, depressions, Parkinson, diabetes, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, mourning and care and and and ... up to consultation and assistance offers of the WHITE RING (victim protection) or exchange rings. Every week on Tuesdays, people who like to sing meet in the so-called IKOS choir and have a lot of fun singing together. The range of offers is colorful - just drop by.

At these meetings on the last Monday of every month in the morning, you will get to know us and you will certainly get into conversation with us and, above all, with each other. We offer tea, coffee, a few rolls for a small breakfast, for which each guest contributes 3,50 €.

Group meetings

On every last Monday of the month from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. in group room 1 at IKOS, AWO Center Lobeda-Ost, Kastanienstraße 11, 1st floor.

Our house is barrier-free with elevator and parking spaces on the property.
